About Spencer

Spencer is a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) certified Personal Trainer with a passion for teaching others how to move, and maintain their bodies. Raised by parents who are personal trainers, Spencer was born into the industry, always doing some type of sport from soccer, to martial arts, to rock climbing. In his late teens, a couple of major injuries inspired him to learn more about movement and how the body can heal and become stronger. After some success in healing his own injuries, Spencer found himself helping others do the same, which lead him to become a personal trainer.

A Word from Spencer

“After a major injury that left me unable to jog more than 10 yards or sit cross legged, I began to realize how important it is to have control over one’s body. Starting from scratch, I couldn’t even do a bodyweight squat without major pain and discomfort, so I had to rebuild from the ground up. My goal is to help as many people as possible start to regain control over their own body by taking the time to correct mobility restrictions, develop a foundation of quality movement and strength through logical steps, and progressions that will create lasting change. Besides just putting people through a “workout” I want to teach people to train themselves, and to add small changes into their life that will contribute to a more active lifestyle. Taking a kaizen approach to training helps clients make changes that will stick with them, and hopefully inspire others in their life as well. Let us help each other create a physical culture to contribute to a strong, and healthy community.”
