Jacob Wise is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer with an infectious passion for weightlifting. Originally from Great Falls, Montana, Jacob moved to Vancouver in 2018. He was working as a sheet metal fabricator when a back injury left him weak and immobilized. In this moment, he decided it was time to make a change.
Strength training became the catalyst through which his life would transform—not only completely changing his physique, but finding new levels of self confidence and health.
Jacob is committed to helping clients realize their own potential for transformation, both physically and mentally.
Having trained as a person recovering from injury, a jiu jitsu athlete preparing for competition, and a powerlifter going for a max attempt, Jacob has seen fitness from a multitude of angles. He aims to use these experiences as a guide to help people from all walks of life achieve their personal goals.
“An investment in your health is the most important one you can make. Strength training isn't just about being able to bench press every plate in the gym (don't get me wrong, I would love to be able to do that), or about having the biggest muscles in your friend group (I do, just don't ask them). It’s also about being able to do basic tasks as we get older. From bringing in the groceries to tying your shoes, everything is easier when your body moves regularly. If maintaining your quality of life as you age is important to you, then you shouldn’t view strength training as optional, but instead, as a necessity.”
